Why it exists

Product managers learn a set of sums for deciding what is worth paying for. Most people making those decisions never see them, and a price tag leaves out part of the real cost. We put the sums in plain words, so you can run them on your own numbers.

How we check the numbers

Our rule: a figure links to its source or is labeled as an example or our assumption. If we could not find a reliable source, we say so and mark any number we use as our assumption. The calculators use the numbers you enter. Most show the sum behind the result, and the formulas for the rest are in our guides.

Our guides show when they were published and when their content last changed, and a rewrite carries a note on what changed. We do not change a date unless the content changed.

These are estimates to help you think. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, so check a big decision with your accountant.

How it is paid for

The site is free. Google ads and labeled cards for Cookie Tech's own services pay for it. Cookie Tech sells custom software, so weigh what we say about building with that in mind.
